Soooo the one and only post that I’ve made on Disneyland so far wasn’t all that positive. Now that we’ve had some time to reflect, I think that we can look upon the day as a less negative experience and and we remember some of the better things that happened.
While we were there, the weather was really miserable. But, I really liked this because the amount of standing around and lack of shade meant that we weren’t uncomfortable at all.
One thing that I’m really grateful for is that we planned our day before we went. Disneyland has a lot of rides, parades, character showings and things to do – this means that it’s quite a mission to get everything done in one day. It’s double the quest if you also want to utilise the FastPass system – which we did as well. I thought I might write a post on how to make the most of the FastPass system, but we’ll see how we go (I’ve got posts planned and scheduled for a month and a half at the moment…).
The rides/attractions that Lincoln and/or I went on/saw were; Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Hyperspace Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Pirates of the Caribbean, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Star Wars Launch Bay, Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, Disneyland Monorail, Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world”. We also saw Mickey’s Soundsational Parade and Paint the Night – both of which were incredible and highlights of Disneyland for me.
We were also really impressed with the food and drinks we sampled at Disneyland. For lunch we had chowder & stew bread bowls and we also tried a Mint Julep from the French Market Restaurant and Mint Julep Bar respectively.
